Make a Donation or Volunteer

The Valle Crucis Park is a private park which means that we live on the contributions of our donors. People wishing to make a financial contribution should send a check made out to thes Valle Crucis Community Park. Our mailing address is: P.O. Box 581 / Valle Crucis, NC 28691. Because we are a nonprofit corporation, all financial contributions are tax deductible.

We also have a memorial giving program. Memorial bricks, trees, and park benches can be purchased for $100, $300, and $1,000 respectively. Please contact the park director (828-963-9239) if you are interested in participating in this program.

Finally, we need volunteers to help with fundraising events and park landscaping. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Park Director.

Valle Crucis Park Auction

The 25th Valle Crucis Park Auction will be held Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the cafeteria at Valle Crucis Elementary School. The Flea Market opens at 8 a.m., with viewing for the auction starting at 8:30 a.m.. Live Auction begins at 9 a.m. Fresh-brewed coffee, breakfast items, and simple lunch fare will keep you going throughout the morning and early afternoon activities.

The annual auction is a major fund-raising event for the Valle Crucis Park. There is a silent auction component; Gift Certificates from renowned High Country restaurants are popular items. Everything from garage-sale finds to locally grown produce and flowers to valuable gift items from area businesses are available at the spirited live auction. And, shop the Bake Sale table to experience the culinary talents of local residents.

The variety of items available at the auction is matched only by the mix of locals, seasonal residents, and visitors in the lively crowd. You'll be glad you decided to join the fun and support the park in the process.
